Abstract
This project is about demonstrating innovative schemes for practical entangled photon emitters, operating at non-cryogenic temperatures with enhanced characteristics. Τhe project performs research in two directions. The main one is about exploring polariton parametric scattering in GaN microcavities as a means to efficiently produce entangled photon pairs at room temperature. The second, is about implementing chemically-synthesized perovskite halide nanocrystals in a new class of solution-processed high temperature nanophotonic devices, such as polariton lasers.
