Abstract
Ultrafast lasers are a powerful tool which can be used in a plethora of applications. We are going to use Ultrafast lasers to study the light-matter interaction of two dimensional materials (2D materials) where 2D materials are crystalline single atom layer thickness materials. 2D materials have attracted the interest of scientific community due to their unique physical properties which may differ from their bulk materials. Our aim is to locally modify 2D materials with a resolution of few micrometers using Ultrafast Lasers. Photoluminescence, Raman spectroscopy and Time resolved spectroscopy will be employed to characterize the processed materials. At the same time, new technics will be developed for processing and characterization of 2D materials.
